This is a bronze statue of a seated Buddha. The Buddha is in the full lotus position (Padmasana). His right hand is resting on his right knee, with the fingers pointing towards the ground, forming the Bhumisparsha Mudra, the gesture of "touching the earth." His left hand is resting in his lap, palm facing up. He wears a simple monastic robe that is smoothly draped over his body.
 

The face has a calm, peaceful expression with gently downcast eyes and a subtle smile, conveying a state of deep contemplation. His hair is composed of small, tightly-coiled curls, rising to a prominent, pointed finial (Rasmi) on top of the Ushnisha, symbolizing his high level of spiritual development and enlightenment.
