Height: 90cm | Width: 47cm

This is a standing male figure, cast in bronze, with a height of 90 cm and a width of 47 cm. The figure stands in a symmetrical, frontal pose. It is depicted with a total of sixteen arms (eight on each side), which radiate outwards from the body, symbolizing an expansive reach of compassion. The figure is wearing a pleated sampot (skirt-like garment) with a decorated belt and is adorned with a simple necklace and other ornaments. The hands are open, though the attributes they once held are now missing.

The deity has a serene and peaceful expression with a subtle smile. On the head is a tall, cylindrical headdress, which is a common feature of deities in Khmer art.

The multi-armed form represents the deity's immense power and ability to help many beings simultaneously. This piece represents a form of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of compassion, who was highly revered during the Khmer Empire. The style, from the clothing to the headdress, is indicative of this period. The surface of the statue is covered in a deep, rich patina, giving it a sense of antiquity and history.

This elegant and spiritually significant piece is a testament to the artistry of the Khmer Empire and would bring a sense of tranquility to any collection.
